The scenography of Arsenal supporters refers to the sea battles fought by the English against the Spanish.

“Nelson across seas and lands” generally refers to the enduring legacy and military career of Admiral Horatio Nelson (1758–1805), Britain's foremost naval commander during the Napoleonic Wars.

Known for his unconventional tactics, he ensured British naval supremacy by operating in the Mediterranean, Atlantic and Caribbean Seas, ultimately culminating in his victory at the Battle of Trafalgar against the French and Spanish. Then the English prevented Napoleon's invasion.

The atmosphere at the Emirates was incendiary. The home fans created a real ruckus and sang the Champions League anthem at the top of their lungs. At the time of the scenography, several fireworks and smoke detectors were lit on the field.
