According to Minister Fedorow, the drone system has led to a “breakthrough on the battlefield.”
“In 2025, there were a total of over 819,000 hits confirmed by video recordings. Most of them concerned the enemy's manpower – almost 240,000. There were also 62,000 hits recorded on light equipment, 29,000 on heavy equipment and 32,000 on attack and reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles,” said Minister Mykhailo Fedorov, quoted by the Interfax-Ukraine agency.

According to the minister, “for the first time we have obtained real, verified data from the battlefield that can be used to make management decisions. We are continuing to develop the program and this year we will add new directions: we will also award points for air defense and military aviation activities against enemy drones and reward snipers for their work,” noted Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

This is how the Ukrainian Drone Army works
In July 2022, Ukraine launched the Drone Army system, which within a year and a half was transformed from the UNITED24 project into a large-scale government program. In 2023, over 300,000 were contracted under the project. unmanned aerial vehicles. Of these, 90 percent these are drones made in Ukraine.
On February 6, 2024, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on the creation of a new type of army – the Unmanned Systems Forces. Zelensky then set a goal – one million FPV drones.
Mykhailo Fedorov added that one of the goals of the Drone Army is to increase the firing range in order to disrupt the enemy's logistics and eliminate Russian drone operators.
