A special “crisis” warehouse was created in Grudziądz. “Improves the readiness of services”


The warehouse in Grudziądz was established as part of the Civil Protection and Civil Defense program. It was officially opened on Monday. The city received PLN 11.5 million from the state to equip it. The money allowed for the additional equipment of the warehouse at ul. Waryńskiego 32-36.
There is, among others, rescue equipment, tents with equipment, power generators, motor pumps and flood protection elements, heaters and rescue boats.

There will be further investments in security
“This is another step towards a stronger security system. We have further projects ahead of us, and the funds for civil protection in the coming years will be even greater – in 2026, PLN 255 million will be allocated for this purpose,” the voivodeship authorities announce on Facebook.

The warehouse is just one of several investments carried out thanks to the funds transferred from the program last year, Radio Zet reports. The next one is to include: reconstruction of the railway station in Grudziądz. This investment is scheduled to start in mid-2026 and its aim will be to adapt the station to the role of a temporary shelter for the public.
— In the entire voivodeship, in 2025, PLN 240 million was allocated for the implementation of civil protection tasks, and thanks to the security, 0.3 percent GDP, which is still growing, this amount will increase year by year and in 2026 it will amount to over PLN 255 million. This is approximately PLN 16 million more than this year. These measures will allow for regular strengthening of the safety of residents and increasing the effectiveness of services, explained voivode Michał Sztybel, quoted by Radio Zet.
