The meta corresponds to NASK. “We haven't deleted any ads”

On Wednesday, a scientific and academic computer network (NASK) informed about a possible attempt to interfere in an election campaign. It was about political advertising on Facebook, which could be financed from abroad.
ABW was informed about the case.
Advertising accounts involved in the campaign in the last seven days have to spend more on political materials than any election committee. A day later, Wirtualna Polska wrote that for political advertisements published on the Internet promoting Rafał Trzaskowski and attacking his competitors, there is an employee and volunteers of the Akcja Democracy Foundation and that Internet users have been paying attention to these ads for several weeks, appearing on Facebook.
NASK representatives reported on Wednesday that after its intervention the Facebook owner – the company Meta – blocked political ads on the platform that could influence the election campaign in Poland.
“This is the result of activities carried out as part of the so -called election umbrella” – added NASK.

Otherwise, we see the matter, i.e. the owner of Facebook. The company referred to the above information and informs that “Contrary to public statements of NASK, we did not remove any ads related to these sites at the NASK request, because they do not break our rules. The ads are displayed as inactive in the advertising library, because the period of this advertising campaign is over. The finish did not take any action to remove them” – reported representatives of the META press office.
On Sunday, May 18, the election of the President of the Republic of Poland will take place. Any second round is scheduled for June 1.
