
Editorial team of the Ukrainian culinary website Cookpad shared a recipe for fried pies.
Ingredients for the custard base:
- 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
- 1 tsp. salt;
- 3 tbsp. l. flour;
- 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
- 250 ml boiling water.
Ingredients for choux pastry:
- 250 ml warm water;
- 2-2.5 tsp. dry yeast;
- four glasses of 250 ml flour;
- 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.
Preparation
- Mix sugar, salt, vegetable oil and flour. Add boiling water to the mixture and stir with a spoon until smooth.
- Mix yeast and warm water in a separate bowl. Gradually add custard base and flour, kneading the dough. At the end add 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.
- Cover the pan with a lid and leave in a warm place for 25-35 minutes.
- Divide the dough into balls. Form pies with any filling and fry in vegetable oil on both sides.
