Make this quick dough and your fried pies will turn out very fluffy. No-fuss recipe

Editorial team of the Ukrainian culinary website Cookpad shared a recipe for fried pies.

Ingredients for the custard base:

  • 1 tbsp. l. Sahara;
  • 1 tsp. salt;
  • 3 tbsp. l. flour;
  • 3 tbsp. l. vegetable oil;
  • 250 ml boiling water.

Ingredients for choux pastry:

  • 250 ml warm water;
  • 2-2.5 tsp. dry yeast;
  • four glasses of 250 ml flour;
  • 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.

Preparation

  1. Mix sugar, salt, vegetable oil and flour. Add boiling water to the mixture and stir with a spoon until smooth.
  2. Mix yeast and warm water in a separate bowl. Gradually add custard base and flour, kneading the dough. At the end add 1 tbsp. l. vegetable oil.
  3. Cover the pan with a lid and leave in a warm place for 25-35 minutes.
  4. Divide the dough into balls. Form pies with any filling and fry in vegetable oil on both sides.
