“As a result of a massive enemy attack and damage to critical infrastructure in the capital, almost six thousand residential buildings remain without heating again,” wrote the mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, in the Telegram messenger.
According to the mayor, most of these buildings are those that have already been connected or attempted to be connected to the heating network twice after the shelling on January 9 and 20. There are also problems in the capital with water supply on the left bank of the Dnieper and partially on the right.
Thousands of customers without electricity in the Chernigov region
The energy company Chernihiv Oblenerho reported on Facebook that hundreds of thousands of subscribers were left without electricity supplies as a result of Russian attacks in the Chernihiv Oblast. As reported, energy experts are working to restore supplies, but due to the security situation, this process may be prolonged.
Earlier on Saturday, the mayor of the capital announced that one person was killed and four were injured in a massive Russian night attack on Kiev.

“At night, Russia carried out a massive attack on our regions, firing over 370 attack drones and 21 missiles of various types. The target of the attack was Kiev and the region, as well as the Sumy, Kharkov and Chernihiv oblasts. In Kharkov, a maternity hospital, a dormitory for displaced people, a medical school and residential buildings were damaged,” said President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. “Dozens of people have been injured so far, including a child,” he said.
“In the capital and the surrounding area, the main target of the Russians were energy facilities. Tragically, one person was killed in this attack. I express my condolences to their families and loved ones,” wrote the president of Ukraine.
Russia's next massive attack on Ukrainian civilians comes as trilateral talks on ending the war in Ukraine between representatives of Kiev, Moscow and Washington are underway in Abu Dhabi.
