Where do you vote in the Bucharest City Hall elections? How do you find the section to which you are assigned

Next Sunday, on December 7, voters in Bucharest are called to the polls again to choose their mayor for the next 3 years.

In the partial local elections for the Capital City Hall on December 7, strict rules are applied regarding the distribution of voters to polling stations, depending on domicile or residence. A voter with domicile or residence in Bucharest cannot vote at a polling station in a sector or county other than that of his domicile/residence.

Where you can vote in the partial local elections in Bucharest

Voters can vote only at the polling stations where they have their domicile or residence and only on the territory of Romania. Voting abroad is not allowed in local elections.

The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) has published the Register of polling stations for the December 7 partial local elections. The list of polling stations is published on the website www.roaep.ro, in the Electoral Management/Electoral Geography/Register of voting stations section and can be consulted by accessing the following link: https://www.roaep.ro/management-electoral/geografie-electorala/registrul-sectiilor-de-votare/.

Voters can check the polling station to which they are assigned by accessing the Electoral Register, available at the following link www.registrulectoral.ro.

What does the ballot paper look like?

The Central Electoral Bureau has published what the ballot will look like in the partial local elections on December 7 in the Capital.

Order of candidates:

1. Cătălin Drula – Save Romania Union (USR);

2. Daniel Băluță – Social Democratic Party (PSD);

3. George Burcea – Party of Young People (POT)

4. Ciprian Ciucu – National Liberal Party (PNL)

5. Ana-Maria Ciceală – Ciceală Ana-Maria – Health Education Nature Sustainability -(SENS)

6. Liviu Gheorghe Florea – National Peasant Party Maniu Mihalache- (PNȚMM)

7. Gheorghe Macovei – Greater Romania Party (PRM)

8. Oana Crețu – United Social Democratic Party (PSDU)

9. Mihai Lasca – Patriots of the Romanian People (PPR)

10. Rareș Lazar – independent candidate

11. Anca Alexandrescu – “Rights for Bucharest” electoral alliance between the Alliance for the Union of Romanians and the Christian Democratic Peasant National Party

12. Dan Trifu – independent candidate

13. Eugen Orlando Teodorovici – independent candidate

14. Gheorghe Nețoiu – independent candidate

15. Vlad Gheorghe – independent candidate

16. Angela Negrota – independent candidate

17. Filip Titian – independent candidate

Where by-elections are held

Next Sunday, the partial local elections will take place for the president of the Buzău County Council, the general mayor of Bucharest and for the mayors in the following constituencies:

1. Remetea Commune – Bihor County;

2. Mihai Eminescu Commune – Botoșani County;

3. Marga Commune – Caraș-Severin County;

4. Dobromir Commune – Constanța County;

5. Lumina Commune – Constanța County;

6. Găesti City – Dâmbovița County;

7. Sopot Commune – Dolj County;

8. Valea Ciorii Commune – Ialomița County;

9. Vânători Commune – Iasi County;

10. Poienile de sub Munte Commune – Maramureș County;

11. Şieu Commune – Maramureș County;

12. Cârța Commune – Sibiu County.

Voting takes place between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.
