ANM meteorologists issued, on Thursday evening, a yellow code of dense fog and fog, valid until midnight, for six counties in the south of the country. The phenomenon causes a decrease in visibility below 200 meters, and isolated even below 50 meters. According to the National Meteorological Administration, the counties concerned are Ialomița, Prahova, Călăraşi, Giurgiu, Dâmbovița and the entire Ilfov county. The warning is valid until 00:00.

In Ialomița county localities such as Fierbinți-Târg, Coșereni, Dridu, Jilavele, Adâncata, Movilita, Sinești, Roșiori, Maia, Rădulești, Moldoveni and Drăgoești are affected.
In the county Prahova, dense fog is reported in localities such as Brazi, Bărcănești, Puchenii Mari, Ciorani, Poienarii Burchii, Şirna, Gorgota, Râfov and Dragănești.
Code yellow also targets whole Ilfov County, numerous localities of Calarasi County, including Budești, Fundulea, Lehliu Gară, Frumușani, Sohatu, Sărulești and Crivăț, as well as Giurgiu county, where localities such as Bolintin-Vale, Mihăilești, Comana, Adunații-Copăceni, Călugăreni and Ghimpați are affected. In Dâmbovița county, the warning applies to the towns of Potlogi, Răcari, Crevedia, Cojasca, Lungulețu and Tărtășești, among others.
Meteorologists warn that the fog can favor, depending on local conditions, the formation of ice and sleet, and there are risks for road traffic. Motorists are advised to drive with caution, reduce speed and use fog lights.
