DIICOT prosecutors made a surprising discovery in the case of USR Senator Vasile Ciprian Rus. They found 60 grams of MMC (Methylamino Methylphenl Propan), high -risk drug, hidden under its car.
The drug package was discovered on Friday and subsequently laboratory tests established that it is a MMC, a high -risk drug, known for its effects similar to those of cocaine, which can administer either by inhalation or orally, in the form of pills.
Senator Ciprian Rus said he discovered when he took the car to a car service for a technical problem, before leaving for Hungary.
“I was creaking a plate, I had to go to Hungary, I went to the car service to see why I was creaking. When they got the car on the elevator, the driver joked that I put my wife or someone a GPS device to follow me. I said what device?

The one who announced the police about the suspicious package was Ciprian Rus.
“I realized that they were suspicious substances. At that moment I put them on the table and put my hand on the phone and called 112 to send them someone, I told them on the phone what I found and that they seem suspicious and that they seem to be a drug crystals. They sent the police, the police came, they made a report, they said, they said said Ciprian Rus.
He claims that drugs were intentionally, but he does not think he was used as a courier, because very few people knew about his trip. “The quantity found exceeds the legal limit between possession and traffic, and if I had been caught with it abroad, the case would have qualified as international drug trafficking.” said the senator, suggesting that the situation could be a political revenge against him.
Ciprian Rus is a discreet politician, who spoke only twice in the Senate plenary: once the oath and a short intervention of about 20 seconds, when he requested financing for the construction of a bypass belt of Cluj.
Before becoming a senator, Russian was a local USR counselor and has a professional career in IT, working for important companies such as Softvision, Evozone and Jpard Solutions. His income declared before entering the Parliament amounted to about 360,000 lei as an authorized natural person.
He emphasized that he did not know who could have placed the drugs under his car and that the DIICOT prosecutors are waiting with confidence, specifying that he is willing to collaborate with the authorities.
