At the request of the prosecutor's office, sanitary order was established in the buildings and dormitories of higher educational institutions in Krasnoyarsk.
According to information from the regional supervisory agency, at the end of 2025, employees of the prosecutor’s office and Rospotrebnadzor conducted an inspection of the educational buildings and dormitories of the city’s largest universities. Based on its results, it turned out that major repairs had never been carried out in buildings built back in the 1960s, and cosmetic repairs were limited to touching up problem areas. At the same time, violations of sanitary standards concerned not only aesthetics, but also the basic ability to maintain cleanliness.
Thus, in educational buildings and dormitories, cracks and chips covered the walls and ceiling, and the radiators rusted. Hand dryers, sinks and toilets were not working in the toilets and showers. Some areas of the floor and walls were not painted at all, which precluded wet cleaning with disinfectants. The classrooms had damaged linoleum, light fixtures and paint on the walls, and the ceiling was covered in traces of leaks.
“Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor’s office made recommendations to 3 higher educational institutions. The heads of universities reviewed them, carried out local repairs, replaced sanitary equipment and electrical appliances. In addition, major repairs are planned for 2026 in 2 dormitories, which should solve the systemic problems of buildings that have already accumulated over 10 years,” the supervisory agency said.
For violations of SanPiNov, the prosecutor's office initiated administrative cases against employees of institutions under Art. 6.7 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The materials are sent for consideration on the merits, and the implementation of the prescribed measures and the results of repairs are under the control of the prosecutor's office.
