Krasnoyarsk registry office explained whether it is possible to save documents during a divorce immediately after the wedding

The agency of the registry office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory told what would become with the surname and documents of the bride if we divorced immediately after marriage.
According to the press service, they received the question: “MShould I not change my passport to my husband’s name, if immediately after the marriage, the divorce proceedings began and I want to leave my girlish name? ”
Experts explained that in this case the documents would have to be changed twice – first to get a passport with the name of her husband, and then with a maiden.
We add, according to VTsIOM in 2024, in Russia, ten new marriages accounted for eight divorces. This is the maximum indicator for all years of observation. According to the first quarter of this year, almost 4 thousand marriages were registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and 2.6 thousand pairs officially dispersed.
In addition, from January 1, the size of the state duty has changed. So, the fee for registration of divorce increased by almost 8 times – from 650 to 5000 rubles from each of the former spouses. The duty for a change in the name, patronymic or surname also increased to 5,000 rubles.
