Minister Żurek tells the newspaper that he notices the problem raised by notaries that the fees have not been changed since 2004, which is why he has established a team in the ministry that will develop new solutions for notaries. As he emphasizes, will try to change the notarial fee, but in such a way as not to block citizens' access to notarial activities. On the other hand, it indicates that the fee should reflect the workload, qualifications and responsibility incurred. The reform requires a cautious approach, adds the minister.

Waldemar Żurek also says that for him the plans to change the notary fee are part of a larger reform and he plans, for example, to modify the court fee rates so that in the case of an alternative possibility of performing the same activities at a notary, it was more profitable to use the notarial route. The minister also declares himself a supporter of the possibility of conducting a divorce with the consent of the parties at the notary's office, although he stipulates that before dealing with this topic, one should wait for the end of the legislative process of the bill that allows for the dissolution of marriages by Civil Registry Offices.
