Firefighters from ISU Buzău intervene on Sunday morning in a block of flats in the municipality where an explosion occurred, one person was injured and several apartments were affected by the blast.

According to ISU Buzău, the explosion was caused by an accumulation of gases and was not followed by fire. As a result of the event, one person was injured, and he was given first medical aid on the spot by the SMURD crew, News writes.
In order to manage the situation, a personal transport vehicle and multiple victims, a water and foam extinguishing vehicle, an extrication vehicle, and a SMURD ambulance were sent to the scene of the intervention.
For the safety of the tenants, the electricity supply was interrupted, and the representatives of the gas distributor were requested to check and fix the malfunctions. Firefighters are working to secure the area and assess the damage.
The exact cause of the explosion will be established following investigations.
From the first estimates, it seems that 25 apartments and studios were affected by the blast.
The people who live in the apartments affected by the explosion will be accommodated by the authorities, in various locations, until the situation of the building and each individual home is analyzed
