The state budget under the microscope. The Ministry of Finance revealed how many billions we have in foreign currencies

The balance of foreign currency funds on budget accounts at the end of December 2025 amounted to a total of EUR 9,336 million, or PLN 39,460.6 million, the Ministry of Finance announced on Thursday.

The Ministry reported that as part of servicing the foreign debt of the State Treasury in December 2025, the following payments were made in foreign currencies: capital equivalent to EUR 120.2 million (PLN 507.3 million), as well as interest equivalent to EUR 68.5 million, i.e. PLN 289.7 million.

“The balance of foreign currency funds on budget accounts at the end of December 2025 amounted to a total of EUR 9,336.0 million (PLN 39,460.6 million),” the Ministry of Finance said. (PAP)
