To obtain a pensioner's ID card, simply submit an appropriate application to the nearest branch of the Social Insurance Institution.
People who started receiving a pension after January 1, 2023, additionally have the opportunity to use the electronic version of the document, i.e. mLegitymacja. It can be added to the mObywatel application, which allows you to abandon the paper version.
Discounts and allowances for seniors
The pensioner's ID entitles you to many discounts in pharmacies, sports facilities and cultural institutions such as cinemas and theaters. For people over 65 years of age, there are also free medicines and exemption from radio and television license fees.
