In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, after the intervention of the prosecutor's office, a ramp was installed in the house where a disabled child lives.
According to the supervisory authority, in 2022, an 11-year-old boy with disabilities moved with his mother to a new house on Yubileinaya Street in the city of Lesochibirsk, which was built as part of the regional program for relocation from emergency housing.
The house was supposed to be an example of an accessible environment – with an automatic lifting platform at the entrance. However, it soon became clear that the lift did not work, and the steep porch made it almost impossible for a child in a wheelchair to leave the house.

“For several years, my mother unsuccessfully contacted the management company with a request to repair the lift. Answers came, but the matter did not move forward: the platforms in this and the neighboring entrance with a total cost of 1.1 million rubles did not work from the moment the house was put into operation, and there were no acts of acceptance and transfer to the management company at all,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Experts found that the equipment was faulty even during construction, and the house did not actually provide accessibility for people with limited mobility. In the interests of a disabled child, the prosecutor's office submitted a proposal to the city administration.
The municipality then promptly allocated funds and awarded contracts for the design and installation of a new ramp. At the moment the work has been completed.
