SVO participants are exempt from debts on overdue loans

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law exempting participants of a special military operation from obligations on overdue loans.

The support measure applies to fighters of a special military operation who enter into a contract from May 1, 2026, as well as their spouses. They can completely write off overdue loans on loans worth up to 10 million rubles.

A prerequisite is that the court decision on debt collection must enter into force or a writ of execution must be issued before May 1 of this year.

Also, at the moment, in Krasnoyarsk, including within the framework of the decree of the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a whole range of social support measures for SVO participants and their families continues to operate. It includes various types of assistance, guarantees, benefits when paying for housing and communal services, taxes, children receiving education, medical and social services, and attending state sports and cultural events.
