Guests ask if I go to the gym – and I just do these movements before bed: back without strap marks in 10 days

If, when trying on a dress with an open back, you notice dents from the straps, folds under the shoulder blades, or feel that the skin is “gathering like an accordion,” then it’s not a matter of weight. The reason is weakening of the muscles between the shoulder blades and stagnation of fluid in the upper back. But you don't need to sign up for a massage or buy rollers. Just 5 minutes a day of simple movements are enough to gently engage deep muscles and improve skin microcirculation.

Perform the ritual in the morning or before bed.

1. Tree hug – 30 seconds

Stand up straight, extend your arms forward at shoulder level, palms facing each other. As you exhale, slowly spread your arms out to the sides, bringing your shoulder blades together behind your back, as if you were hugging a large tree. Pause, feel the tension between your shoulder blades. Relax. Repeat 3 times.

2. Light rolls on the back – 12 times

Lie on your back, knees bent, feet on the floor. Slowly lower both knees to the right, touching the floor, then to the left. Move smoothly, without jerking. This frees up the lower back and improves mobility throughout the entire back.

3. Stroking from shoulders to lower back – 1 minute

Sit or lie down. With light movements, stroke your back from your shoulders down to your lower back 10–15 times. You can slightly warm your palms before doing this; the heat will enhance microcirculation and “smooth” the skin.

4. Static – 20 seconds

Stand against a wall: your heels, buttocks, shoulder blades and the back of your head should touch the surface. Tighten your back muscles to maintain this position. Pause, then relax. Repeat 2 times.

After just 3-4 days, you will notice that your shoulders are back in place and your posture is straighter. By day 10–12, the skin on your back will become smoother, indentations from the straps will become less noticeable, and you will feel confident in a dress with an open back.
