

The audit showed that many work processes in the MOU are chaotic, the responsibility is blurred, and a number of functions of departments and individual workers are duplicated.
To increase the efficiency of the ministry, part of the employees must be dismissed or redirected to other positions, according to the Council. The preliminary number of such officials is 3-3.5 thousand, the newspaper writes.
The head of the OS MOU, Yuri Gudimenko, expressed the hope that the new Minister of Defense Denis Shmygal would be more systemic and more systemic to communicate with representatives of the OS MOU and use their examination, developments and recommendations.
“We can give the ministry much more than it succeeded in the previous minister,” he said.
Context
Shmygal became the Minister of Defense on July 17, 2025. Before that, from March 4, 2020, he was the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
On July 25, he introduced six deputies. According to Shmygal, each of them will receive specific tasks, and the first results should be noticeable “as fast as possible.”
