The accused is a Romanian woman settled in Italy, who terrorized her mentally for years, making her afraid to leave the house or take her daughter to school.

The harassment case is being judged by the Court of Milan, according to corriere.it. The request for a two-year prison sentence was made by honorary deputy prosecutor Marisa Marchini.

The compensation requested by Mădălina Ghenea

Lawyer Maria Manuela Mascalchi, the legal representative of Mădălina Ghenea and her mother (also constituted as a civil party), requested substantial compensation: five million euros for the model, plus a guarantee of 500,000 euros, and 200,000 euros for her mother, accompanied by a guarantee of 50,000 euros.

Defense: “The accounts were hacked”

Fabio Martinez, the defendant's lawyer, requested, in the final plea, the acquittal of his client and contested the entire construction of the accusation.

He argued that the woman was not the author of the incriminating messages, claiming that someone had fraudulently accessed her accounts and used her identity to send the harassing messages.

During the trial, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio, the ex-boyfriend of the actress, the son of Luxottica's founder, was also heard, who spoke about the attacks on Mădălina Ghenea, which he said affected her so much that she could no longer work, according to republica.it.

Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio also said that, during the relationship the two had in 2020, he had also come to the defendant's attention.

“He said my presence in Paolo Sorrentino's film was pornography”

We remind you that the trial began in 2024 at a court in Milan, where Mădălina Ghenea first met face to face with the woman accused of harassment, according to Corriere della Sera.

According to the actress, the messages started after her appearance in the film “Youth” directed by Paolo Sorrentino and continued to come until recently. Initially, when he made the complaint, he did not know the identity of the person who caused him so many problems. Following an investigation, the police informed him that it was a Romanian woman who lives in Limbiate, Italy.

“He said that my appearance in Paolo Sorrentino's film (no Youth) was pornography. I accepted a friend request on social media and messages started pouring in against me. He often posted from a fake profile that looked like mine, where he put edited photos of me to make me look different.” said, in 2024, Mădălina Ghenea.

The actress confessed that during that period she lost several contracts and had to change her way of life.

“Seems like every morning through social media someone would knock on my door, enter the house and threaten me with death, with strong and malicious words. I used to announce my presence in a hotel, according to the employment contract, now I don't do it anymore or I do it a few days later, so as not to be located.” the star told.

“I was afraid to take my daughter to school”

Mădălina Ghenea confessed that she went through a nightmare period, in which she had come to fear for her life and that of her family.

“I spent Christmas and New Year 2022 locked in the house with the blinds drawn while my mother cried because I was afraid someone was waiting for me outside. There were times when I was afraid to take my daughter to school. I also suffered image damage and if I am here at the hearing it is also to protect my daughter and the rest of the family. If I get any compensation I will donate it to charity.” the actress pointed out.
