Krzysztof Szczerski, the Polish ambassador to the UN, commented on the matter in a similar way and also took part in the debate. He accused Russia of pursuing a deliberate strategy to inflict suffering on civilians and leave millions of people without electricity and heating in harsh winter conditions. He also argued that this proves that Moscow is not interested in peace and is trying to discourage further international assistance to Ukraine.
