More than 400 thousand people attended festive events in Krasnoyarsk

During the New Year and Christmas holidays, almost 700 events were organized for Krasnoyarsk residents, with a total of 403,030 people attending them.

The mayor's office reported that the opening of the main city Christmas tree and regional ice towns, as well as the festival-competition of snow and ice sculptures “Magic Ice of Siberia”, a festive Christmas concert, interactive programs and concerts within the framework of the “Warm Evenings” project and other events attracted the greatest attention from citizens.

More than 76,000 New Year's gifts were given to Krasnoyarsk children. They were received by primary school students, correctional schools, children from families in difficult social situations, home-schooled schoolchildren and pupils of the Khazret Sovmen orphanage. The children from the families of SVO participants were not left without gifts.

During the January holidays, the “Decade of Sports” started in the city, within the framework of which 30 city physical education, sports and tourism events were held. Four sports festivals were held at courtyard sports grounds; Krasnoyarsk residents had the opportunity to test themselves and take part in mini-hockey competitions and various sports relay races.

On January 8, All-Russian Figure Skating Day took place. At city skating rinks, courtyard hockey rinks and ice palaces, master classes and relay races were held for residents and guests of Krasnoyarsk, and demonstration performances were held by pupils of sports schools. On this day, more than 27,000 Krasnoyarsk residents went on skates.

In total, over the New Year holidays, 6,000 people visited the Skating Rink on the Strelka. On New Year's Eve itself, about 400 people came to the skating rink to celebrate 2026. Over the course of 12 holidays, more than 160 courtyard and school skating rinks operated in the city. In addition, 7 ski lodges with equipment rental and 4 municipal swimming pools operated daily.

The Roev Ruchey Flora and Fauna Park was visited by more than 6,800 people from January 1 to 8. Special thematic and entertainment programs were prepared for guests. And on January 5, youth centers opened their doors for Krasnoyarsk residents. Young people could play intellectual games, watch a movie, go to training or attend a creative master class.
