As the traffic police said, according to preliminary information, this afternoon, January 9, the Toyota driver did not stop at the prohibitory traffic light in the area of ​​house No. 1 on the street. TV room, where he hit an 11-year-old girl who was walking along a controlled pedestrian crossing.

The video from the surveillance camera shows that in front of the pedestrian crossing, the bus stopped at its red light, allowing pedestrians to pass, while the Toyota driver, driving in the second lane, continued driving and hit the pedestrian.

As a result of the accident, a teenage girl was injured and was taken to a medical facility for further examination.

Administrative materials were drawn up against the driver for not having a compulsory motor insurance policy, crossing the stop line at a red light, and for using a phone while driving.

“Drivers need to be as attentive as possible and prepared for the sudden appearance of pedestrians, especially near crowded places: shopping centers, Christmas tree complexes, ice towns and other places of festive events. Pedestrians should cross the road only at pedestrian crossings and at the traffic light, making sure that the driver has stopped and gives way.
