He clarified that the cleansing of Kupyansk carried out by the defense forces is already “at the final stage.” For example, on January 3, Tregubov reported that there were already less than 100 Russians in the city.
He noted that the minimum estimate of the number of occupiers present in the city is approximately 20 people. However, there are fewer and fewer of them.
“Their number decreases by about four to five people per day. Therefore, we can calculate how many are left. Because if we take the average estimate of 50-60, then it won’t take long. It’s not possible to add new people there,” Tregubov explained.
Regarding the situation around Kupyansk, according to the speaker, the Russian occupiers are most actively pressing from the eastern bank of the Oskol River.
