Are you tired of admiring the violet, which produces a single flower every six months? There is a way to wake her up and make her bloom in bouquets. All you need to do is not throw out that same “sleepy” water that remains on your bedside table every morning.
We are talking about water in which ordinary rice grains were soaked overnight (the cheapest white rice will do). This is not a decoction, but a cloudy liquid after washing or soaking. Overnight, B vitamins, starch and microelements pass from rice into water – an easy, natural and safe supplement that violets adore.
Why do violets go crazy for her?
Violets have a “sweet tooth”, but do not like heavy fertilizers. Rice water is:
Light growth stimulator thanks to vitamins.
Nutrient medium for beneficial soil bacteria.
A mild energy source from starch that helps produce buds.
How to “water” violets correctly? It couldn't be simpler:
Preparing the elixir. Pour 2-3 tablespoons of rice with a glass of clean water at room temperature overnight (8-12 hours). In the morning, drain the cloudy liquid – this is our feeding.
Important rule. Only use water from soaking uncooked rice. The water in which the rice was cooked should not be used – it is too starchy and can acidify the soil.
We feed wisely. Water the violets with this water at the root instead of regular watering no more than once every 10-14 days. The rest of the time, water with clean water.
We are watching a miracle. Within 3-4 weeks you will notice the result: the plant will produce many new leaves, and numerous flower stalks will begin to appear from the center. Flowering will be widespread and long-lasting.
Why does this work better than store-bought fertilizers?
Because it is a natural biostimulant that does not overload the delicate roots of the violet, but gently supports its strength. It’s like giving a person not a pill, but fresh fruit juice – the benefits are the same, but are easier to digest.
