In the village of Berezovka, Krasnoyarsk Territory, a man with a diagnosed mental disorder stole money from a donation box in a local church. Now the theft case has been sent to court to resolve the issue of compulsory treatment.

The incident occurred on November 13, 2025 at the Holy Vvedensky Church. According to investigators, the man saw the box with money and decided to improve his difficult financial situation. He took 3,127 rubles from him and then disappeared.

A forensic psychiatric examination established that the suspect had a chronic mental disorder, which did not allow him to realize the nature of his actions at the time of the crime.

The criminal case of theft was sent to the Berezovsky District Court to consider the issue of applying a compulsory measure of a medical nature.
