In the Sverdlovsk region of Krasnoyarsk, the traditional holiday “By the head of cabbage and by the cabbage” will be held. Citizens are invited to the square named after Yakov Sverdlov (60 Let Oktyabrya St., 46) on October 14 at 15:00.

Thematic areas and master classes, Russian games, a display of folk images and a food fair were prepared for guests. City groups and artists from the Sverdlovsky Palace of Culture will perform on stage.

Also, as part of the holiday, a regional competition “Cabbage-Beauty” will be held. Members of the jury will determine the best costumes for the main symbol of the holiday – cabbage. This year, 33 applications were received for the competition. The winners will be determined in three age categories: under 13 years old, 14-17 years old and 18 and older, the mayor’s office said.

At the festival, the winners and participants of the children's drawing competition “Lady Cabbage” will be awarded. 72 drawings were submitted for the competition. Online voting took place in the district’s official group on the VKontakte social network.

The winners and participants of the competitions will be awarded at 17:00 at the closing ceremony of the holiday.

​”For the third year in a row, we are holding this autumn event. Every year, both organizations and creative residents of the region take part in the costume competition, many together with children. This year, our traditional online drawing competition received many applications. And we decided to gather not only the winners, but also all the participants at the festival to celebrate everyone. I am pleased with such a lively response from the townspeople,” says the head of the Sverdlovsk district administration, Lilia Nazmutdinova.
