The Rosseti Sibir company was issued a certificate SA 8000:2014. The document confirms the compliance of the company's social responsibility management system with the requirements of the standard.
The social responsibility management system of Rosseti Sibir was assessed by independent experts. Various criteria were taken into account: compliance with human rights legislation, including the norms of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, taking into account social and environmental factors when making decisions, regular reporting, ethical business principles.
In addition, the company prioritizes the safety and health of employees, provides additional guarantees, benefits and support measures for employees, these are enshrined in the collective agreement. The right of employees to voluntarily participate in trade union organizations and the involvement of personnel in significant social projects was also taken into account.
“Rosseti Siberia is the first company among the Rosseti Group to confirm compliance with the social responsibility standard. The company pays great attention to employee rights and social guarantees: additional medical insurance, wage indexation are provided, and social initiatives of employees are supported – participation in career guidance, environmental, and sports events. Social responsibility is an important factor in the development and sustainability of a company. The energy team is proud of the new certificate,” commented Anton Dyachkov, General Director of Rosseti Siberia.
Certification of the social responsibility management system is not mandatory and is voluntary. However, large companies are striving to officially confirm social responsibility to increase investment attractiveness and strengthen the employer brand. At the international level, SA 8000:2014 is equivalent to ISO 26000 – Guidelines for Social Responsibility. In Russia it corresponds to GOST R ISO 26000-2012.
