It will start on January 1, 2026 act CBAM tax on emissions when importing into the EU.
This was officially confirmed by the European Commission. All hopes for postponement did not come true. The government did not achieve any results.
This tax will hurt the Ukrainian economy, especially metallurgy. Prices will rise, competition will decrease, and export volumes may decline significantly. Expected losses are hundreds of millions of euros every year.
All the experts' warnings were ignored.
