The government wants to increase exports to $ 77 billion: it is necessary to freeze the tariffs of state monopolies.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade Representative of Ukraine Taras Kachka stated that Ukraine is working on updating the national export strategy and that it is about production increasing.
But this requires two things – containment of tariffs of state monopolies, and lobbyism of our interests abroad, says the President of the Ukrainian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Ukraine Vladimir Shchelkunov.
“State monopolies should not increase the costs of enterprises, especially during the war – for electricity, gas, rail transportation. If businesses lose competitive advantages, it will reduce production, close businesses and loss of tax revenues, ”says Shchelkunov.
In addition, it is necessary to actively promote favorable conditions for export -oriented industries in foreign markets – for example, the issue of carbon duties Swam, because Ukrainian business cannot currently fulfill all environmental requirements through the war.
