Valentin Țicu reveals how the break with Petrolul and the transfer to Dinamo happened: “I was disappointed”
Transferred for free by Dinamo, after parting ways with Petrolul, Valentin Țicu (25 years old) talked about how the termination of the contract with the Ploiesti went.
“I think he needed it too. This separation also came from him, he wanted a change. I was even talking to him after the contract extension, things didn't go as they wanted. There was that episode with Iancu from Sibiu, then he got injured afterwards. I think he needed a change”, said Claudiu Tudor, president of Petrolul.
Later, the left defender brought up by Petrolul was announced at Dinamo, and at the press conference he was asked about how the discussions related to the termination of the contract went.

“Now I'm only thinking about the future. I don't want to get into a duel of statements with Petrol. It's the team that gave me everything, the team I grew up with.
After the championship ended, I talked to the people there and they told me that they will no longer be able to rely on my services so much, that it will be difficult to play and that they don't know what to do. Somehow, the breakup came from me too. We parted amicably. At the moment I was disappointed, but now I'm thinking about Dinamo.
It's a big transition from Petrolul to Dinamo, it's a big impact. The level is much more intense. I'm happy to be here, to be on the pitch and to train normally. I knew many of my colleagues. It was not difficult to come to Dinamo. After I made the decision to leave Petrolul, this offer came”, declared Valentin Țicu.
