Rapid has announced that it will hold its winter camp in Belek, Antalya (Turkey), between January 3 and 12, 2026. Costel Gâlcă's (53-year-old) team will play two friendly matches, with the opponents already determined.
At the beginning of 2025, Marius Șumudica was the coach of Giulești, and the team chose a non-conformist destination.
Last season's winter camp was held in Dubai. This aspect did not suit the Giulești team, who only finished in 5th place and were eliminated from the semi-finals of the Romanian Betano Cup.

In the resort of Belek, where in January temperatures are usually recorded between 11 and 15 degrees Celsius, Costel Gâlcă will prepare the second part of the season.

The players coached by Constantin Gâlcă will prepare for 10 days in Turkey, where they will play two friendly matches against the leader from Poland, Wisla Plock, and the 2nd place holder from Bulgaria, CSKA 1948 Sofia.

In 2026, Rapid will attack a place in the European Cups. Ambitions are high, especially since the team finished the year in 2nd place, one point behind the leader University of Craiova.
The break comes at a fixed rate for Giulești, who had lost the last two matches: 0-2 with Oțelul Galați and 1-2 with FCSB.
Rapid will receive a visit from Metaloglobus on January 17, 2026, in the first official match of the new year.
