The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that in the last dozen or so hours, air defense systems disabled 129 drones over the continental part of the country and occupied Crimea.
29 drones were shot down over the Bryansk Oblast, 15 over the Belgorod Oblast, 13 over the Yaroslavl Oblast, 10 over the Novgorod Oblast, 9 over the Smolensk Oblast, 7 over the Kursk and Penza Oblasts, 6 over the Tver Oblast and Bashkortostan, 5 over the Astrakhan and Rostov Oblasts, 4 over the Kaluga Oblast, 2 over Moscow, Orlov and Leningrad oblasts, 1 each over Voronezh, Kostroma, Tula, Tambov, Ryazan and Tatarstan oblasts. 1 unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over occupied Crimea.

The Russians took preventive measures. The governor of the Kostroma region, Sergei Sitnikov, ordered the deployment of additional forces and resources to counter the potential effects of a massive attack by Ukrainian drones, the press service of the local authorities reported.
One person was killed and two were injured in a Ukrainian drone attack in the Tver Oblast in western Russia, the office of the oblast's governor, Vitaly Korolyov, reported, quoted by Reuters. Fragments of the drone hit the ninth floor of a residential building, causing a fire, regional authorities reported. The drone attack also caused a fire at an industrial plant in the Lipetsk Oblast, in western Russia, the region's governor, Igor Artamonov, said on Telegram, without specifying what the attacked company produces. The circuit includes, among others: electrical machinery and chemical enterprises.
Ukrainians provide information about the dead and wounded
Three people were killed and at least nine were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Ukraine over the last 24 hours, the authorities of the Kherson, Donetsk and Zaporozhye regions announced on Tuesday morning.
One person was killed and seven, including a child, were injured in the Kherson region in southern Ukraine, Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the region's military authorities, wrote in the Telegram messenger. The target of Russian attacks using drones, planes and artillery was critical and social infrastructure, apartment blocks and single-family houses.
In the Zaporizhia Oblast, authorities reported over 850 strikes in 29 towns. Russian troops used over 500 drones of various types, it added. One person died there. Another person died in the last 24 hours in the town of Dobropilla in the Donetsk Oblast.
In the Kharkiv Oblast, Kharkiv and four other towns were attacked. “As a result of the shelling of Kharkov, a 58-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman were injured,” the regional military administration reported.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that on the night from Monday to Tuesday it destroyed or disabled 53 of the 61 Russian drones released over Ukraine. Eight drones hit targets in six places, the statement admitted.
