Marines of the Ukrainian Armed Forces drove the Russians out of part of the islands between Kherson and Oleshki

The Ukrainian defense forces ousted the military of the aggressor country Russia from part of the islands in the Dnieper delta between Kherson and the temporarily occupied Oleshki of the Kherson region. The commander of the 34th Separate Marine Brigade, Dmitry Pulinets, spoke about this in an interview with the Crime.Realities project, which was published on June 13.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces control, in particular, the islands of Alekseevsky, Kruglik, Korabel and Potemkinsky.

According to him, Russian troops continue to try to regain their positions, but the Ukrainian military managed to push them away from the island zone and complicate their actions in the Oleshek area.

He also said that the defense forces disrupted the logistics of Russian troops and expanded the kill zone – the territory where the enemy is under constant fire. Because of this, it has become much more difficult for Russian forces to hold on in this direction.

“Now a typical day for a Russian soldier is that he walks from Kostogryzovo and does not always even reach Oleshki themselves,” Pulinetz said, answering a question about the rotation of Russian troops in this area.

The Marines are now holding positions on the left bank of the Dnieper, the brigade commander said. But he didn’t give any details.

Supply of Ukrainian units on the left bank is carried out exclusively by air. Rotations of personnel usually take place in bad weather conditions, under the cover of various support means, Pulinetz noted.
