Context
On January 2, a shopping center and a residential high-rise building were destroyed by an explosion in the old center of Kharkov.
At night, rescuers reported 31 victims, including an infant.
President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky noted that, according to preliminary data, two Russian missiles hit residential buildings.
Local media wrote that the air raid warning did not go off before the explosions; the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that they allegedly did not fire at Kharkov at that time.
The victims included a three-year-old boy and likely his 22-year-old mother.
