The regional Office of Rospotrebnadzor told Krasnoyarsk residents interesting facts about jellied meat.
Experts reported that jellied meat is useful for joint diseases, problems with the musculoskeletal system, it strengthens the immune system and vision, and also increases hemoglobin. The dish contains B vitamins (especially a lot of B12 and B3), cobalt, potassium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, iron and other valuable macro- and microelements.
The product has a high calorie content:
- pork jellied meat has about 350 kcal per 100 grams;
- beef jellied meat has about 209 kcal per 100 grams.
To get a more dietary dish, you can use turkey or chicken, then the calorie content will be about 84 and 136 kcal per 100 grams, respectively.
“For fish lovers, there is an option for jellied meat made from large sea or river fish. The main thing is to cook at low simmer. Please note that it is the head, ridge and tail that give the same jelly effect,” added Rospotrebnadzor.
When choosing jellied meat in a store, pay attention to the composition of the product and check its expiration date, as well as observe storage conditions. The dish should not be eaten by those who suffer from diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and gout. In any case, you should consult your doctor.
