Hassan II Stadium, in Casablanca, Morocco, competes with Santiago Bernabeu to host the World Cup final in 2030. The arena would be the largest in the world, and the builders estimate that it will be ready in 2028.
The 2030 World Cup will be hosted by Spain, Portugal and Morocco. The Africans are trying to “steal” the final and are relying on the future Hassan II stadium. He would invest two billion dollars in a project that has no rival worldwide. It should eventually accommodate 115,000 people.

Journalists from Marca visited the construction site on the outskirts of Casablanca and state that “at the moment it seems to be located in the middle of the desert. The place is huge, it takes you a few minutes to circle it from the car. The plan calls for major infrastructure works, highways to connect it to the cities of Casablanca and Rabat.”
Once completed, the Hassan II Stadium will become the home of the Moroccan national team and host the matches of the two big teams in Casablanca, Raja and Wydad, recognized for fanatical groups of supporters.
The world's largest stadium with advanced technology
The architecture firms “Oualalou + Choi” and “Populous” have designed a stadium with a tent-like aluminum roof structure inspired by traditional “moussems” festivals. The roof will allow natural ventilation and provide shade on a landscaped area of 100 hectares in El Mansouria, according to sportal.blic.rs.
The interior of the stadium includes three steep stands at each end, comprising 29,500 seats for the general public, while five VIP levels and the royal box increase the total capacity for VIP guests to approximately 12,000 seats. All spectators will have an unobstructed view of the pitch.
Earthworks are already well underway and officials expect the stadium, after the tournament is over, to serve as a year-round social center for two local clubs.
