The lighthouse struggled until the last second to save itself from relegation, at the dam. After 3-3 in Târgoviște and 1-1 in Ovidiu, the match went into overtime and reached the penalty shootout.

Denis Alibec scored the first from 11 meters and contributed to the save. Half a year after returning from FCSB, he is now out of contract, but has indicated that he wants to continue at Farul.

Denis Alibec, after Farul – Chindia: “I was left without a contract, but I want to stay”

“I don't wish anyone to experience what we experienced. God helped us, we all fought well, we are happy, and from next year we have to radically change everything. Let's show why we are able, as we have done in the past years.

I stay here. As long as my legs last, I will play. If the people from Farul want me, I'm open. At the moment I no longer have a contract, I am free.

We lost points in the last minutes, there were misses, a lot was collected. We didn't know how to manage the matches and we reached the play-off. The important thing is that we passed this threshold and stayed in League 1.

The fans are wonderful, even if they don't call my name anymore because I left for Steaua (no FCSB). But don't forget what I did for this club. I gave my life, I won the championship here. I hope they understand this in the future.

Last year I decided together with the management that I could no longer stay, and they must understand this. That's the life of a footballer. We don't have a derby with Steaua. My soul has always been here”, said Alibec, on Prima Sport 1.
