Călin Georgescu asks Nicușor Dan to send the report on the 2024 elections to the USA and Israel
The former candidate for the presidential elections Călin Georgescu launched on Tuesday a tough public appeal to the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, demanding that the report that was the basis for the cancellation of the December 2024 elections be independently verified and transmitted in its entirety, without omissions, to the United States of America and the State of Israel. The request was made after Georgescu appeared at the Buftea Police to sign the judicial review.

Călin Georgescu was greeted by dozens of supporters, who came with flowers and tricolor flags, who chanted including “Bolojan, resign!”. The former candidate greeted them, offered autographs, and then made public statements to the press.

“I found, along with everyone in this country, that Nicușor Dan presents himself to the European chancelleries, some of which were involved in the annulment of the vote, with a report that claims to justify the annulment of the December 2024 elections and contains accusations against me without evidence. Today, December 30, 2025, I publicly order that the cited report be transmitted in its entirety, without omissions, to two states capable of independently verifying the content”declared Călin Georgescu.
He specified that the report should be sent to the White House, for the attention of the President and Vice President of the United States, as well as to the State of Israel, for the attention of the Prime Minister, claiming that both states have the necessary expertise to analyze the veracity of the document.
“Both states can verify the veracity. In addition, the State of Israel, in the context of the accusations of anti-Semitism and legionnaires falsely attributed to me, cannot be biased. Also, these authorities have reference expertise to see the interference in the virtual environment attributed to Russia. It is all the more relevant that this report was not sent on its own initiative to these two states.”the former candidate also said.
Călin Georgescu emphasized that he assumes the consequences if the independent verification confirms the conclusions of the report. “I publicly state that if this independent verification confirms the report, I bear all the consequences”he stated.
In the same context, Georgescu also spoke about his wishes for 2026, stating that he wants a year in which “truth be stronger”.
“Along with the Romanian people, I wish for a year 2026 in which the truth is stronger. The truth must be defended at all costs when people want to be separated from God. The people die out through the cowards”declared Călin Georgescu.
Călin Georgescu has been under judicial control since February 2025, in a case in which he is accused of legionary propaganda. According to the investigators, between June 16, 2020 and May 16, 2025, he would have publicly promoted fascist, legionary and xenophobic ideas and doctrines.
Also, the former candidate in the presidential elections is being investigated, together with the mercenary Horațiu Potra, in a separate file, in which he is accused of attempting a coup d'état.
