In the Krasnoyarsk Territory on Sunday, December 28, rescuers from the Yenisei search and rescue department went to evacuate two people. This was reported by the press service of the Spasatel State Public Institution.
Two men who were in the forest beyond the Chermyanka River, two kilometers from the village of Podtesovo, needed help.
“The flood on the Yenisei River led to a sharp rise in the water level during the freeze-up period, as a result of which the bridge across the river and the approaches to it were under water, cutting off the path to salvation,” the department noted.
The men were successfully evacuated and taken to safety.
