With the arrival of cold weather, every morning in the bathroom turns into a game of guesswork: turn on the water and a minute later the mirror is foggy. I rubbed it with my hand and “milk” again. Neither the face, nor the razor, nor the arrows in the eyes are visible. Purchased anti-fog sprays either smell like chemicals or don't work for more than an hour.
But in reality everything is much simpler. There is a homemade solution that can be prepared in 20 seconds from what is found in any bathroom. It creates an invisible film on the mirror that prevents moisture from collecting in drops. The reflection remains clear even after a hot shower or bath.
To prepare the solution you will need:
Water – 100 ml
Unscented liquid soap or baby shampoo – ½ tsp.
What to do:
- Mix the ingredients in a small spray bottle or just a glass.
- Before application, wipe the mirror with a dry microfiber, it should be clean and dry.
- Apply the solution to the mirror.
- Blend with a clean microfiber until completely transparent.
- Let dry for 10-15 seconds.
Soap makes the surface hydrophilic. The moisture does not collect in drops, but is distributed in an even, transparent film that does not interfere with seeing the reflection. There will be no streaks if you apply a very thin layer.
The effect lasts up to 24–48 hours, depending on the humidity in the bathroom. Suitable for any mirrors: in the bathroom, in the hallway, even in the car. Leaves no odor, does not damage the coating and does not leave greasy stains.
