Ilie Bolojan, appeal to the Parliament for the approval of the CSAT decision: “Please vote for this proposal in the interest of Romania”

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan on Wednesday asked the Parliament to vote “for” the proposal of the Supreme Council of Defense of the Country (CSAT) regarding the approval of the request of the United States to place in Romania American refueling planes, monitoring equipment and satellite communication equipment, stating that the decision is “in the interest of the country” and “for the safety of Romanians”.
“Dear colleagues, I am here as a sign of respect for the citizens of Romania and for the Parliament of our country. As prime minister, I assure you that this proposal is in the interest of our country. It is for the safety of Romanians. It is a proposal made with responsibility,” Bolojan said in plenary.
The Prime Minister stated that the proposal shows that Romania is “a reliable ally in this part of the world”.
“Dear colleagues, with all due respect, think about what it means to take important decisions for the country. They cannot always be taken with vuvuzelas, but must be taken responsibly,” Bolojan said.
“Please vote for this proposal in the interest of Romania”, concluded the prime minister.
Immediately, Sorin Grindeanu requested the suspension of the debates due to the shouting in the room.
