According to the doctor, often the problem lies not in memory capacity, but in attention deficit. Absent-mindedness interferes with the concentration necessary to effectively remember and retain information. When you combine cooking with watching a TV show or the news, at the same time thinking about your child's schedule and trying to remember something, the likelihood of success is low.
Fixing information in memory requires complete concentration, elimination of distractions and surrounding noise. You shouldn't rely on remembering information while performing multiple tasks at the same time. In some people, absent-mindedness is an innate trait. In addition, with age, starting at about 40 years old, thinking speed and memory gradually deteriorate. This process is inevitable, but there are methods of social adaptation that should be used.
Can't remember phone numbers, passwords, addresses? Carry a notebook with you where everything is written down. If you often lose things, choose a specific place for each and always put them there. To know: the keys should be here, and the phone should be here, in a certain pocket of the bag. Hang a piece of paper on your door: “Take your wallet, keys, documents, smartphone.” And glance at her when leaving the apartment,” the expert noted.
