In December, 51 percent respondents considered the situation to be “good”, and 13 percent for “very good”. 7% assessed the situation in their workplace as “bad”, and 2% assessed it as “very bad”. 26 percent believes that the current situation is “neither good nor bad”, while 2% respondents refused to answer.
As indicated in the CBOS press release, December's assessments of the current situation in workplaces are slightly better than those in November – the number of gainfully employed people who consider the current situation in their workplace as good has increased by 2 percentage points, and the number of people considering it as bad has decreased by the same percentage.
December's ratings show the diversity of opinions across industries. Those working on private farms assess the situation much worse than others. While positive assessments clearly dominate among those working in other sectors of the economy, in private agriculture they are very divided – 30%. working on private farms considered the situation in their workplace to be bad, 29 percent rated it as good, and 42 percent indicated that it was “neither good nor bad”.
As in the previous months, forecasts regarding the development of the situation in workplaces over the next year are differentiated most by the perception of its current state. The majority of gainfully employed people who consider the current situation to be “good” – 68%. in this group and 61 percent defining it as “neither good nor bad”, it is expected that it will remain unchanged over the next year. However, over 52 percent assessing it as bad predicts its additional deterioration.
Moreover, the better the assessment of the current situation in workplaces, the more often further improvement is expected. 10 percent expect it. respondents assessing the current situation negatively, and 22 percent who consider it good. In turn, the worse the assessment of the current situation, the more people are convinced that it will deteriorate within a year. 7% have a pessimistic opinion about the future. those who consider the current situation to be good, while 52% expect conditions to worsen. respondents who considered the current situation to be bad.
Also in the case of forecasts, respondents working on private farms stand out from the rest of the respondents. Even though this group is also dominated by those who believe that the situation in their workplace will not change within a year (62%), they are much more likely than those working in other sectors of the economy to forecast its deterioration – 29%, and less often its improvement – 10%.
Finding a job without major problems?
14 percent all respondents believe that they can easily find a suitable job in their town or neighborhood. 49 percent indicated that it is possible to find a job there, but it is difficult to find a satisfactory job. 28% were convinced that finding a job in the area where they live is difficult. respondents, of which 22 percent indicated that it is difficult to find any job there, and 6 percent found it completely impossible. 10 percent respondents refrained from assessing the situation.
Opinions about the possibility of finding a job near the place of residence are significantly differentiated by the size of the town where the respondents live. Rural residents most often point to serious difficulties in this respect – 29 percent in December. of them expressed the belief that it is difficult to find any job there, and 10 percent found it completely impossible.
Residents of cities with at least half a million inhabitants assess the situation on the local labor markets much better than people from smaller towns, and above all, they are much more likely than other respondents to be convinced that they can find a suitable job there without any major problems – this was indicated by 24%. in this group. Moreover, in December, no respondent from the largest metropolises stated that there was no job available in his city or vicinity.
