I set the New Year's table without getting tired: I use 10 lifehacks – I create beauty in 15 minutes

When creating a New Year's table, many housewives put a lot of work and spend a lot of time on decorating.

In order not to collapse from fatigue even before the guests arrive, you can simplify the task.

These simple techniques will create magic with thoughtful decor in minutes.

1. Unified color scheme

Choose 2 primary colors (for example, gold and dark green, silver and burgundy).

Repeat them in napkins, ribbons on chairs, small items of dishes and candles. This will instantly bring the composition together, even if the dishes are of different colors.

2. “Magic” tablecloth without iron

If you don’t have time to iron or don’t have a beautiful tablecloth, then lay out a plain linen fabric or a thick paper tablecloth roll. Place several narrow lace or burlap towels on top diagonally or along the table.

The result is a layered, stylish and casually elegant look.

3. Snow effect for the central composition

Pour regular coarse table salt or sugar into the middle of the table, they will sparkle.

Place several low candles in cups on top, arrange pine cones, tangerines or spruce branches. This will replace a complex flower arrangement.

4. Quick Card Holders

Write your guests' names on decorative clothespins (you can quickly wrap them in foil or paint them) and attach them to glasses or the edges of plates.

Or use tangerines/walnuts that you can write on with a permanent marker.

5. Night illumination of dishes

Place several small battery-powered garlands between the plates and dishes or place 3-4 tablet candles in low glass glasses.

Soft light will make any dish photogenic and hide minor serving errors.

6. Fold napkins in 30 seconds

Fold the fabric napkins into a simple “pocket”: fold the square in half, then fold the bottom up and the sides back.

Place a spruce sprig, a cinnamon stick or a small piece of candy in there. Or simply tie the napkins with twine or narrow ribbon.

7. Decoration for chairs

Tie a ribbon with a spruce or pine sprig, a bell or a small Kinder toy to the backs of each chair. This will create a feeling of a holistic holiday space.

8. The secret of the perfect Olivier salad and herring under a fur coat

To prevent salads from spreading, lightly spray the inside of the salad bowl with vegetable oil before laying out.

And to serve, use transparent glasses or bowls – it looks modern and saves space.

9. Children's corner on the edge of the table

To keep children from getting bored, give them a separate area and place there a paper tablecloth with a coloring book or a roll of wallpaper with markers, small individual sets of snacks in cupcake tins and safe sparklers in orange peels.

10. New Year's scent

15 minutes before guests arrive, heat orange slices with cinnamon in the oven or light an aroma lamp with pine or vanilla oil. The holiday will be remembered not only for its taste, but also for its smell.

And don't force the middle of the table into everyone at once. Leave room for the main course, which will appear later.

The perfect table is about atmosphere, not perfectionism. These life hacks will give you more time to ring in the New Year with a smile instead of a tired look at your flawless decor.
