A resident of Shushenskoye sued the builders for more than a million for poor-quality flooring of the house and a fallen fence

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the contractor will pay more than 1 million 380 thousand rubles for poor quality work during construction residential building in the village of Shushenskoye, reports Rospotrebnadzor.

According to the contract concluded in March 2023, the company undertook to install the floor and install the fence using the customer’s material. But when the client moved into the house, he discovered that the floor was poured in violation of the technology – due to unevenness, the quartz vinyl tiles were deformed. In addition, the erected fence fell.

It was not possible to resolve the dispute through the claims procedure and the man filed a claim in court. The first instance rejected the claims for compensation. Then a construction and technical examination was appointed in the case, which confirmed that the work (both on the floors and on the fence) was carried out with construction defects.

As a result, the appellate court sided with the Shushenskoye resident, partially overturned the decision of the first court and recovered from Stroyaktiv LLC damages of 900,156 rubles, moral damages of 20,000 rubles and a fine of 460,078 rubles.
