Due to the abnormally snowy winter, wild roe deer in the Krasnoyarsk Territory are increasingly coming out to people.

As gornovosti.ru reports with reference to the regional Ministry of Natural Resources, the snow cover in some places has reached 50-90 centimeters, and the resulting crust prevents animals from getting food and moving around. This increases their energy expenditure and makes them easy prey for predators. Since the beginning of the year, more than 100 cases of ungulates entering populated areas have been recorded in the region.

Due to the increasing frequency of visits from forest guests, the Ministry of Natural Resources reminded residents of the rules of behavior when meeting wild animals. Experts ask not to try to feed, pet or drive away the roe deer, not to touch the wounded animal and not to take it home. It is important not to make noise or make sudden movements, so as not to provoke panic or aggression, and also to take children and pets to cover.

If a roe deer is detected, you must inform the Unified Duty Dispatch Service by calling 112 or 005, the police – 02 or 102, or the Ministry of Natural Resources of the region by calling 8 (391) 227-72-59, 8 (391) 268-03-36.
