More than 1200 hectares of wild hemp were found on agricultural lands in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was reported in the regional department of Rosselkhoznadzor.
In just a month, from July to August, experts found 9 large foci of growing a drug -containing plant. Most of the hemp thickets were in Sharypovsky (602 hectares), Nazarovsky (232 hectares) and Achinsky (183 hectares) areas.
The owners of these lands were caused by the need to fight weed. Information about the fields was also transmitted to the police and local administrations. By mid -August, almost all identified thickets – 1,100 hectares out of 1200 – were destroyed.
The department added that checks in the fields will continue until the end of autumn.
