Families were reminded how to spend maternity capital on their child’s education

The Social Fund of Russia recalled the possibility of using maternity capital funds for training and additional education of children. Parents can pay for these purposes without leaving home – through the State Services portal.

As the Sever-Press publication writes, the electronic certificate automatically appears in the mother’s personal account on State Services after the birth of the child. There you can submit an application for disposal of funds. A decision on it is made within five working days.

Maternity capital funds can be used for a wide range of educational services: from developmental activities, clubs and sports sections for preschoolers to payment for courses, tutors for preparing for the Unified State Exam and education itself at a college or university.
