“We would like to point out that obstructing investigation activities constitutes a direct violation of the law,” NABU emphasized.
Earlier on Saturday, NABU and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) exposed an organized criminal group that included members of parliament.
“As a result of an undercover operation, NABU and SAP exposed an organized criminal group, which included current deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. The findings of the investigation show that members of the group systematically received undue financial benefits in exchange for (relevant – PAP) voting in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine,” it was reported in a message on Telegram.
NABU is currently conducting investigative activities in the Committee on Transport and Infrastructure of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. This information was confirmed to the Suspilne portal by committee member Julia Syrko from the Hołos faction.
The corruption scandal reaches to the highest officials
On November 10, NABU and SAP disclosed information about the participants in the extensive corruption system in the energy industry. They collected bribes ranging from 10 to 15 percent from contractors of Enerhoatom, the state operator of nuclear power plants. contract values. The scandal, revealed by NABU and SAP, broke out at the beginning of November, and in the investigation files Yermak is listed under the pseudonym Ali Baba.
